COB LED display in Pakistan
A COB LED display is the finest indoor video wall we supply and install in Pakistan: chip on board, P0.9 to P1.5, sealed under one protective surface. It is built for the rooms where people stand a step away from the screen. Below is one of ours, photographed and filmed as it is.
Premium indoor COB series
COB stands for chip on board: the bare LED chip is bonded straight to the panel and sealed under one protective layer, giving a flat, continuous surface.
It takes a knock, kills glare and holds its colour from a step away, which is where a boardroom, a studio or a lobby actually stands.

- P0.9 - P1.5
- Pixel pitch
- Sealed
- One protective surface
- Anti-glare
- Holds up in a lit room
- Seamless
- Cabinet joins that disappear
COB or SMD
- How it is made
- On an SMD screen each LED is packaged on its own and then mounted. On a COB screen the bare chips are bonded straight to the board and sealed under one protective layer.
- The surface
- Flat, sealed and continuous. There are no individual lamps standing proud to be knocked off, which is why COB is used where people can reach the screen.
- Pixel pitch
- COB covers the very fine pitches, P0.9 to P1.5. Indoor SMD starts at P1.5 and goes coarser from there.
- The picture
- Deeper contrast, and an anti-glare surface that holds its colour in a lit room and from a step away.
- Where SMD still wins
- Cost. SMD remains the right choice for most indoor work and for all outdoor work. COB is for the rooms where the viewer is close enough to see the difference.
COB questions, answered straight
- What is a COB LED display?
- COB stands for chip on board. Instead of packaging each LED separately and mounting it, the bare LED chips are bonded directly to the panel and sealed under a protective layer. The result is a flat, durable surface with fine pixel pitch, used for indoor video walls that are viewed from close range.
- What is the difference between COB and SMD?
- The way the LED sits on the board. SMD mounts a packaged lamp for every pixel; COB bonds the chip itself to the board and seals the whole surface. COB gives a flatter, tougher face with better contrast and is used for the very fine pitches, P0.9 to P1.5. SMD is the better value for most indoor screens and for every outdoor screen.
- Which pixel pitches does COB come in?
- The premium indoor COB series we supply runs from P0.9 to P1.5. The right pitch is set by how close the nearest viewer stands, so it is specified from a site survey rather than from a catalogue.
- Where is a COB video wall used?
- Boardrooms, studios and lobbies: rooms where people stand or sit a step away from the screen, and where a visible pixel grid, glare or a damaged lamp would be noticed at once.
- Can COB be used outdoors?
- No. COB is an indoor, fine-pitch technology. Outdoor screens are SMD at a coarser pitch, typically P4 to P10, built bright enough for sunlight and sealed to IP65 against rain and dust.
- What does a COB LED display cost in Pakistan?
- There is no flat rate. A finer pitch puts several times more LEDs into the same area, so COB costs more per square foot than SMD, and the wall size, the structure and the processing all move the figure. Send the wall size and the viewing distance on 0320-4119900 (Director) or 0321-9458888 (CEO) and we quote against your room.
